According to a survey conducted in the two countries, 74 percent of Chinese respondents think positively of Germany, while only 24 percent of German respondents hold the same view of China. Differentiated political systems and values, as well as the lack of mutual understanding, have led to the research results, Clauss said.
The two countries expect better communications between youngsters in China and Germany through the 2016 Chinese-German Youth Exchange Year.
