Ufa, Russia - The BRICS countries have committed to "resolutely reject continued attempts to misrepresent the results of World War II," a document issued on Thursday said.

The document, released at the end of the seventh BRICS summit, didn't name which country or countries had attempted to do so.

The summit concluded in Ufa, Russia where the leaders of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa achieved dozens of agreements, written into a 43-page Ufa Declaration.

"The year 2015 marks the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II. We paid tribute to all those who fought against fascism and militarism and for the freedom of nations," the document read.

"We express our commitment to resolutely reject the continued attempts to misrepresent the results of World War II."

According to the document, China and Russia reiterated the importance of role of India, Brazil and South Africa in international affairs and support their aspiration to play a greater role in the United Nations.
