Despite Premier Li Keqiang's tight schedule, on Saturday, during breaks in the leader's meeting and summit, he returned to the hotel from the convention center and met with the prime ministers of India, Australia, Laos and New Zealand.

1 Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Premier Li Keqiang's article published in the year-end edition of the Economist magazine, which talks about China's 2016 economic development, made a deep impression on him. Li thanked Modi for extending birthday wishes online, saying their friendship has helped develop China-India relations. It was the second meeting between the two leaders this year, following Modi's visit to Beijing in May.

2 During talks with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, Li said China had contributed 20 million Australian dollars ($14.4 million) to the search and rescue operations for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370. He said that contribution was made out of respect for humanity. The two leaders exchanged gifts - Turnbull gave Li a 3D-printed titanium alloy souvenir with dragons and kangaroos engraved on the surface. Li gave the Australian prime minister a Suzhou embroidery of a gallant horse, alluding to a smooth relationship between the two countries.
