Comment on "Chinese President Xi leaves for Venezuela" (China Daily website, July 20)

Although I am not a Chinese national, I am proud of Chinese President Xi Jinping. He is setting a great example by doing so much for the country. He is doing a great job of bringing together countries that will join hands with China to achieve peace, progress and prosperity for the world. China loves peace, and welcomes all countries to work together to build a better tomorrow for all. If China maintains this rate of achievement and progress, I am certain it will not have to wait until 2020 to be the country with the largest GDP in the world.

The Chinese people must progress and improve in a way that China not only becomes the most powerful economy, but also is able to reach education and information to everyone to make them disciplined and socially responsible. After all, it's the people that make up a nation and not the other way round.

China is a huge country with the largest population in the world. It has thousands of years of history and tradition. And whether it can be a great nation to guide and inspire the world depends on its people.
