The Kunming Hi-Tech Zone’s industrial and commercial administration held a meeting on March 13 to inform local automotive retail owners about the consumer complaints in 2014, aiming to raise their awareness of business honesty and integrity.

At the meeting, Chen Bo, vice-director of the industrial and commercial administration outlined the complaints from consumers regarding contractual fraud and poor accountability for “three guarantees” (for repair, replacement or compensation of faulty products).

Director of the administration, Zhao Yonghua said at the meeting that he hoped automobile business proprietors within the Zone would accept the criticism from consumers and make amends as soon as possible. He said that the Zone would enhance its management to better protect consumers’ rights and interests.

Representatives of the businessmen also declared at the meeting that they would strengthen self-discipline and improve their quality of service.
