In early December, a delegation from the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone went to Israel to attract investment, and established preliminary cooperative intentions with Isa Pharmaceuticals Co on the production of industrial hemp for pharmaceutical use.

To better understand the Zone in order to promote cooperation, executive president of Isa Pharmaceuticals Mark Rosenfeld came to Kunming on Dec 9. At the meeting, Rosenfeld explained in detail the history and current situation of Isa's bio-pharmaceutical R&D center, the medicinal benefits and commercial value of industrial hemp in the pharmaceutical industry and the company's achievements in this field.

Isa expressed its willingness to construct a hemp production base within the Zone to boost its development and expand its market. Also, the rich natural resources in Yunnan, location advantages of the city of Kunming and the priority the local government gives to the bio-pharmaceutical industry's development makes the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone an attractive place for the company.

The Zone warmly welcomed the guests and said they looked forward to their future cooperation.
