The Yunnan Pharmaceutical Industry Co is a state-owned pharmaceutical enterprise, running pharmaceutical industry, pharmaceutical business, and medicinal materials plant. It is an important development and production base for botanical drugs, organometallic drugs, and antineoplastic drugs in Yunnan province.

The group produces 231 varieties of agentia, which include product groups that are antineoplastic and for treating cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

According to the Good Manufacturing Practice of the WHO, the construction of Yunnan’s special botanical drug industrial base in the Kunming National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone will receive an investment of 950 million yuan ($153 million). When the project is completed, there will be 6 manufacturing workshops and 28 production lines in the company, which will boost the Yunnan Pharmaceutical Industry Co. to become a pillar in pharmaceutical industry development in Yunnan.
