A Youth Committee was launched by Kunming National Hi-Tech Industries Development Zone on June 18.

Structural establishment, program planning and implementation, members’ list, and working system were documented, and the first rotating chairman was elected at the launch ceremony. Members of the committee exchanged their ideas about such aspects as photography, arts, western culture, investment and entrepreneurship that the younger generation would be interested in.

Lei Rui, president of the Youth League of Yunnan Province, instructed that youth programs should be more targeted, and highlighted the features of the zone.

The Youth Committee has 57 members currently, including government agencies, enterprises and schools. It is growing into a force that is creative, has enormous economic potentiality, and values social welfare. It breaks industrial boundaries, in this way attracting young people from all areas to advance youth development.
