Kunming Hi-Tech Development Zone and Xishan district sign a framework agreement on establishing a branch of the high-tech zone in the Xishan district.

The deputy head of administrative committee of the Kunming National Hi-Tech Industries Development Zone, Pei Yanbing, and the deputy head of the Xishan district, Li Rulin, have signed a framework agreement on establishing a branch of the high-tech zone in the Xishan district, in response to the call by the Science and Technology Ministry to use national development zones to push innovation.

The idea is to get the high-tech zones to be in the lead in scientific innovation, industrial cluster development, and talent management as part of a "Go global" strategy. This agreement will help integrate the resources of the high-tech zone and Xishan district, as well as strengthen specialty industries and industrial clusters and chains to help form a cooperative mechanism through stronger communications in planning, project development, policies, and talent for mutually benefits.
