Among all the water power stations in China's Yellow River basin, the Laxiwa Hydropower Station boasts the largest installed capacity, the biggest single-unit capacity, the highest dam and the lowest per-kilowatt cost. Its underground powerhouse is of the same size as that of the Three Georges Hydropower Station, the largest in China.
