The Railway Passage Project in South Central Shanxi (China)

The 1260km passage is a double-line electric heavy-haul railway constructed in compliance with the construction standard for level-I railways. Its design driving speed is 120km/h and the proportion of bridges and tunnels is 46.8%. Since the railway is built in geologically complicated areas, its construction is very difficult and has to meet harsh technical, environmental and water protection standards.
