Pingchuan Economic Development Zone, with a planning area of 20 square kilometers, will aim to develop ceramics manufacturing and processing agricultural and animal products and will also focus on equipment manufacturing.

Following the successes of the coal-based electricity generation industry in Pingchuan Central District, the park will aim to further develop the industry.

In addition, a ceramics industrial park and a ceramics trade store are under construction, and the park is thus also expected to become a center for ceramics in the west of China.
