Zhang Gaoping was sentenced to life in prison and his nephew, Zhang Hui, was given a death sentence in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, in 2004 for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl. They were freed in 2013 as there was new evidence showed the possibility of another suspect and proof presented during the previous trial was not enough to uphold their conviction. [Photo/IC] |
