The International Monetary Fund announced on Thursday that its Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva will visit China next week for a series of high-level engagements in Shanghai and Beijing.

Georgieva will attend the opening ceremony of the IMF Shanghai Center on Monday before traveling to Beijing. There, she will participate in the annual China 1+10 Dialogue on Tuesday and then attend the press conference for the IMF's 2025 Article IV Consultation with China, the IMF spokesperson Julie Kozack said at a briefing on Thursday.

"While in Beijing, she will also meet with senior Chinese officials," Kozack said.
