Foreign Minister Wang Yi has called on the international community to act in unity to end hostilities in Gaza, implement the principle of "Palestinians governing Palestine", and stick to the "two-State" solution.

Wang made the remarks on Friday when meeting with Foreign Minister of Morocco Nasser Bourita in Beijing.

He expressed concern and regret of the conflict between Israel and Palestine, which prolonged for two years and has breached the bottomline of human conscience.

Wang blasted Israel's action of persisting with its plan to take over Gaza city, launching airstrikes on Hamas leaders in Qatar, while accelerating its encroachment on the territory of the West Bank.

These moves violated international norms, which is not conducive to Israel's own security and put the "two-State solution" in peril, as well as undermines stability in the Middle East.

Peace cannot be achieved through force, while violence cannot bring security, he said, adding that no country can build its own security at the expense of the insecurity of others.

Israel has the right to establish a state and so does Palestine, there should be no double standards, Wang said.

The lives of Israelis and Arabs are equally precious, with no distinction of high and low value, he said.

Violence for violence only creates and fuels new hatred, he added.

The foreign minister called on the international community to unite to push for a full ceasefire with a sense of urgency so as to alleviate the humanitarian disaster in Gaza.

Countries that have special influence over Israel should shoulder their responsibilities, Wang stressed.

Both Gaza and the West Bank are inseparable parts of Palestine's territory, and any arrangements for postwar governance and reconstruction must respect the will of the Palestinian people and safeguard their legitimate rights, he said.

He also urged efforts to seek feasible paths to advance the "two-State"solution, and reject any unilateral actions that would erode its foundation.

China will continue to work for the end of hostilities in Gaza, and push for a comprehensive, just, and lasting solution to the Palestinian question on the basis of relevant United Nations resolutions and the "two-State" solution, he said.
