Over the next few days, the Chinese medical team, from Wuhan Third Hospital, continued their work at the Bangladesh medical facility, offering advice to the Bangladeshi doctors about preventing wound infection and the methods of routine care for the injured. Also, they checked the patients' conditions, offered help in cleaning the wounds and changing the dressings, assisted in handling arterial punctures, and provided guidance for surgery.

The medical team also held consultations with Bangladeshi doctors along with medical teams from Singapore and India. The Chinese side stressed that they are willing to do whatever they can to support and assist the Bangladeshi side in treating the injured.

On July 26, Ambassador Yao presided over a ceremony for handover of Chinese emergency medical supplies to Bangladesh. The event was attended by senior Bangladeshi government officials and medical personnel.

The medical supplies included more than 2,000 items of necessary medicines and surgical instruments, which were supplied by the Foreign Affairs Office of Yunnan Province and the Wuhan Third Hospital of China.

The handover of materials was part of the emergency medical assistance provided by the Chinese government to Bangladesh for taking care of the injured from the aircraft crash accident.

China will continue to assist within its capacity, based on the needs of Bangladesh, the Chinese embassy said.

On July 24, at the request of the Bangladeshi side, China's Yunnan province urgently organized a team of experts from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University to conduct a remote video consultation with Bangladesh's National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

Chinese experts in burn treatment, plastic surgery, pediatric nephrology and pediatric respiratory medicine joined Bangladeshi doctors to assess the conditions of several critically injured patients from the military aircraft crash and jointly discussed treatment plans.
