Germany's Chancellor Olaf Scholz will pay an official visit to China at the invitation of Premier Li Qiang from April 14 to 16, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning announced.

China has always considered Germany as an important partner for win-win cooperation, and supports Germany in playing a more important role in Europe and the world, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said at a regular news conference on Friday.

Both countries benefit from each other's development, and have promoted steady and sustained development of China-Europe ties, Mao said, adding that China hopes to enhance understanding, trust and cooperation with Germany through Scholz's visit.
