Ambassador Zheng said that after?many years of?efforts, China has eliminated absolute poverty, become the second largest economy in the world, and successfully expanded the middle-income group?to?more than 400 million people. China's economy has great potential and strong resilience, and the long-term trend of improvement will not change. China stands ready to share development opportunities with Wales.

Ambassador Zheng said?that the economies of China and Wales are highly complementary and the potential for cooperation is far from being fully explored. China has world-leading manufacturing capacity, fast-rising innovation capacity, efficient technology application and promotion capacity, and a large consumer market. Welsh companies are welcome to participate in the 5th China International Import Expo to explore the Chinese market?for further?opportunities. Chinese entrepreneurs are also willing to invest in Wales. He expressed hope that the Chambers Wales will strengthen ties with Chinese enterprises and business associations to match the demands on both sides and expand cooperation for mutual benefit and win-win outcome.
