Argentine president visits Chairman Mao Memorial Hall

Argentine President Alberto Fernandez laid a wreath in honor of Chairman Mao Zedong on a visit to the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall in Beijing on Saturday, said the Global Times.
Fernandez was in China from Friday to Sunday to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. During his tour he also visited the Museum of the Communist Party of China.
This was Fernandez's first visit to China since becoming Argentine president in 2019.
During his trip, the two countries issued a joint statement to deepen their comprehensive strategic partnership, and signed a series of cooperation documents, including a memorandum of understanding to jointly promote the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.
