Humorous policeman goes viral
Although Huang's five-minute appearance won the approval of all four judges of the standup comedy competition, he chose not to continue with the next round of competition, citing a hectic schedule at work.
As of Friday evening, the clip of his segment on Sina Weibo has garnered more than 1.4 million views.
The response from netizens has been overwhelmingly positive. One of them said, "He's both handsome and talented, serious and humorous, I am now a big fan of Huang!"
Another joked, "Let's go together to the Bund to ask Huang for directions."
The Transportation Management Department of the Ministry of Public Security and the Shanghai Municipal Police Bureau have also reposted the video of Huang on their Weibo accounts.
The post by Shanghai Municipal Police Bureau read, "Huang's jokes are hilarious and came from the bittersweet experience of a policeman. We hope you will get to know more about the life of police officers. Huang is just one of the many officers who really love their jobs."
