Suspected spies from Taiwan arrested, spy networks busted

In a special action also known as "Xunlei-2020", Chinese mainland security authorities have cracked down on several hundred Taiwan-related spy cases and arrested a group of suspected spies from Taiwan and their recruits, China Central Television reported on Sunday.
Taiwan spy networks that targeted the Chinese mainland have been busted, and security forces have safeguarded national security and interests well, CCTV quoted authorities as saying.
Some Taiwan's intelligence agencies used exchange activities in academic and media circles to get access to information, CCTV reported.
