Sun Shuang, a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine from Hunan province, who was in Wuhan, Hubei province, to support the anti-virus battle, packed her bags and headed for Zimbabwe on Monday.

With 11 other medical team members, she will work in the African country to help curb the COVID-19 pandemic.

The team will introduce treatments used in Hunan to save patients in Zimbabwe hospitals.

As the only TCM doctor on the 12-member team, Sun said she will put her knowledge to good use.

Sun carried many types of TCM in her luggage. The hospital where she normally works also sent 1,800 boxes of TCM products.
