1 dead, 6 trapped in coal mine accident
One miner is dead after a coal and gas outburst at a local coal mine in Zhijin county, Guizhou province, on Monday, local authorities said. Rescue workers managed to save another miner, but six others were still trapped in Sanjia Coal Mine as of 4:55 pm, the local government said. Further rescue efforts are underway.

Rocket-toting ships wrap up their mission
China's rocket-carrying ships Yuanwang 21 and Yuanwang 22 wrapped up their mission of transporting the Long March 5 Y3 rocket and arrived at a port in Jiangsu province on Monday. The two ships departed from Tianjin on Oct 22 and arrived in Wenchang in Hainan province after a five-day journey. The two rocket-carrying ships are China's first ships made exclusively to carry rockets. With a length of 130 meters, a width of 19 m and a height of 37 m, the ships have a displacement of 9,000 metric tons. Each ship is equipped with two 120-ton cranes that can hoist large rockets.
