Xi's special envoy to attend Equatorial Guinea's 50th independence anniversary

BEIJING - President Xi Jinping's special envoy Zhang Chunxian will attend the 50th independence anniversary of Equatorial Guinea in Malabo on Oct 12.
The attendance of Zhang, a vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), comes at the invitation of Equatorial Guinea's President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang announced in Beijing on Monday.
