China on Wednesday expressed strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition over the Hong Kong Policy Act Report released by the US State Department, urging the US side to stop its wrongdoing.

Hong Kong is a special administrative region of China. Hong Kong affairs fall within China's domestic affairs and no foreign country can interfere, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said at a regular press briefing, adding the US side should speak and act cautiously over Hong Kong affairs.

The Chinese government is resolute in comprehensively carrying forward the principle of "one country, two systems" based on the Constitution and the Basic Law, and that is something that won't change, Hua said.
