Iran won't discuss nuclear issue with major nations

TEHRAN - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Wednesday that Iran will not discuss the nuclear issue in proposed talks with major powers, state television reported.

Iran will make any concession over its nuclear rights and the Islamic state will only talk about international problems, Ahmadinejad said in a televised speech in the central city of Qazvin.

"Iran is ready to hold talks on equal conditions to help settle ongoing problems, ease international concerns and establish peace and security in the world," he said, adding the Islamic Republic will never talk about its absolute rights.

Iran will welcome any hand extended with honesty but would cut off any hand with deception, he was quoted by Press TV as saying.

Iran has reiterated that its potential upcoming talks with the five UN Security Council permanent members and Germany (G5+1) will not only include the country's controversial nuclear issue, but should encompass diverse range of global issues which are of interests for both sides.
