Driver thrown out of truck on highway

Surveillance footage captured the dramatic moment when a man was thrown out of a truck he was driving after a car rammed into his vehicle from behind on a highway in Hanzghou, Zhejiang province, on Tuesday. Miraculously, the driver survived the crash, Xinhua reported.

The accident took place at around 3:00 pm on a highway bridge when the truck driver and his niece were on their way from Hangzhou to Ningbo to deliver goods to a factory.

The footage shows the driver of the BMW suddenly changing lanes and smashing into the truck ahead. The impact was so severe that both vehicles spun out of control and crashed into the highway barriers, throwing the truck driver out on the highway.

Thanks to the seat belts, the driver only sustained minor injuries while his niece was unharmed.

The man driving the BMW was also unharmed, although his car was badly damaged.

He admitted that it was his fault that he changed the lanes suddenly and then failed to stop his car in time.
