Group fight on flight

A group of Chinese travelers from Wuhan, Hubei province, had a big fight on a flight as it was about to take off from Phuket International Airport to Wuhan.

The fight was started by a misunderstanding of a Chinese couple's quarrel, and then escalated into a group fight, causing a one-hour delay of the plane's take-off. Some people involved in the fight were taken by Thai police, and 29 passengers' travel schedules were affected.

Violence against doctor

Sun Dongtao, a doctor in the ENT department of a hospital in Tsitsihar, Heilongjiang province, was beaten to death by a young patient, who was not satisfied with the treatment he got from the hospital. The patient broke into Sun's office while Sun was with patients, and hit the doctor on the head with a steel pipe. Sun was 45 years old.
