7 H7N9 infections reported?

Four people in Jiangsu province have been confirmed as being infected with H7N9 bird flu, the local health department said Tuesday. The 4 patients are in critical condition and undergoing emergency medical treatment. China has reported 7 H7N9 bird flu infections till now, with another 2 cases reported in Shanghai who have died and another one in Anhui who is now critically ill, xinhuanet.com reported.

No bird flu virus was found in dead pig samples from the Huangpu River, which provides drinking water to residents in Shanghai, local authorities said Monday.

Public health authorities in Beijing said Tuesday that they are keeping a close eye on the H7N9 bird flu virus, as test reagents (試劑) for the virus have reached the city.

北京市衛(wèi)生局2日表示，H7N9病毒的檢測試劑已到達(dá)北京，北京市已將H7N9病毒納入密切監(jiān)測體系。
