DOHA, December 5 -- China suffered a heavy blow at Doha tennis court as the top seeds lost to Uzbekistan at the women's team quarter-finals on Tuesday.

China's first singles Zheng Jie, ranked 33rd in the world, did not hit the top gear, losing to 208th-ranked Akgul Amanmuradova 6- 3, 3-6, 7-6.
