Raikkonen crashes out of Hungarian Grand Prix

BUDAPEST, Aug 6 - McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen crashed out of the Hungarian
Grand Prix on Sunday after running into the back of Vitantonio Liuzzi's Toro
Rosso while lapping the Italian.
Raikkonen, last year's winner at the
Hungaroring and starting from pole position with his best chance yet of securing
McLaren's first win of the Formula One season, had been in second place.
In
wet conditions, the Finn clipped Liuzzi's rear tyre and bounced over the car in
a shower of debris on lap 27. Both drivers retired from the race.
"I slowed
down a bit to let him by, I was trying to be as helpful as possible," Liuzzi
told ITV Sport.
"It was a misunderstanding, it was a shame that it turned
out this way."
The incident led to the safety car being deployed, with
Renault's world champion Fernando Alonso leading from Briton Jenson Button in a
Honda with more than half the race remaining.
