China's first Family-School-Society 30 Forum was unveiled in Liangjiang New Area in Chongqing municipality on April 16 by the Chongqing Education Institute, Liangjiang education bureau, and Cifi Education Institute.

The event lasted for two days and was held both online and offline. It included an opening ceremony, reports, discussions, and dialogues. Experts and representatives from schools and education institutions in Chongqing and Shanghai were invited to share their insights into the cultivation of children and improve joint education approaches and mechanisms.

During the opening ceremony, Yu Yi – a 93-year-old educator, and Zhu Zhiwen, president of the Chinese Society of Education, delivered keynote speeches through letters and video link.

In his report, Yin Houqing, president of the Shanghai Society of Education, analyzed major tasks and existing problems with the joint cultivation efforts of families, schools and society against the backdrop of the "double reduction" education policy, which advocates reducing students' homework load on campus as well as unnecessary off-campus training courses. In his opinion, teachers are responsible for coordinating the interests of the various parties, which is why teachers' home schooling capabilities must be further sharpened.

Chongqing has been working to create more opportunities for family-school-society coordination by arranging family activities and using big data technology to connect parenting with education in various phases.

As a role model for Chongqing's education endeavors, Liangjiang has been committed to formulating a new fostering eco-system among schools, families and society, and initiating joint cultivation programs, including a reading alliance, a psychological health work station, and classes for parents.
