Upgraded govt services boosts program settlement in Liangjiang

"Nearly 20 programs have settled in the semiconductor industrial park since the first batch of enterprises signed their entry agreements there," said Shen Jianxin, general manager in charge of the semiconductor programs in Liangjiang New Area, Southwest China's Chongqing municipality, on Aug 6.
The park, located in Shuitu New City, is now operated by Wuhan East Lake High Technology Group Co and Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Industrial Development Group Co. Covering a total construction area of 440,000 square meters, the park revolves around the semiconductor industry and focuses on the design of integrated circuits, with automobiles, electronics, AI, internet of things, and smart devices also flourishing in the park.
"We mainly attract upstream and downstream businesses in the semiconductor industry," said Shen in a bid to promote the integration of four chains – the industrial support chain, factor supply chains, the product value chain, and the technological innovation chain – in the new area.
GDS Service Ltd signed a collaboration contract with the new area during the previous Smart China Expo in 2019. The GDS Chongqing Data Center Project is currently being constructed, with the first phase already completed. Constructions of other programs invested by Leju (Shenzhen) Robot Technology Co, UBTECH Robotics Corp Ltd, and Chongqing Zhongke Dexin Biotechnology Co, have also been accelerated.
"Shuitu New City will focus on these programs and help enterprises overcome obstacles in finance, construction, and research. Enterprises will enjoy the preferential policies that have been promised, and entrepreneurs will be given reason to have confidence in the future development of the new city," said an official in charge of Shuitu New City.
