Liangjiang deploys grants, incentives to lure top people

To increase its recruitment of top people and improve its HR services, Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality is about to launch a series of measures to lure talented individuals to come and settle down in the area.
Among the measures, elite professionals and top-flight workers that meet the development needs of key companies and institutions that are resident in industrial parks – those with bachelor degrees from full-time universities and primary technical job titles or above?– will enjoy a subsidy 20-100 percent of their rent.
Top-class individuals or teams brought in by national major strategic projects – or other talent in short supply – will be able to enjoy the benefit after discussions.
The?are will cooperate with Liangjiang's State-owned companies to build about 20,000 apartments in Liangjiang's three industrial parks, which will provide a convenient and comfortable living environment for the new hires.
When the measures are lunched, over 1,000 people will benefit from them per year.
Liangjiang is also implementing Chongqing's measures to attract people with post-doctoral degrees to start businesses in the area. The measures include encouraging research institutes, innovation bases and major scientific and technological infrastructure to set up branches in Chongqing.
The measures will also provide support in terms of funds, tax reductions or exemptions, grants for children's education, investments and professional title assessments.
The measures will see Liangjiang further expanding its construction of pioneer parks, to help people with doctorates start businesses and contribute to Chongqing's development.
