On September 16, Liangjiang New Area hosted its first plenary meeting on safety production.

During the meeting, attendees reviewed the safety production work carried out this year, and discussed the current situation. The attendees planned the key emphasis in work for the next stage and studied the rules and regulations on safety production.

Shang Wenjiang, vice-director of Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee chaired the meeting. Ran Jinhong, head of Chongqing Safety Supervision Bureau and Huang Zonghua, vice-director of Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

This year, Liangjiang New Area focused on the objective of "reducing general accidents; controlling large accidents; preventing serious accidents", and actively promoted the setting-up of Liangjiang New Area Safety Committee as well as establishing safety production rules and regulations.

Ran Jinhong highly praised the safety production work in Liangjiang. He said that the related departments should earnestly strengthen responsibility to promote security and development, strengthen departmental collaboration, and give full play to the roles of the Safety Committee and Safety Supervision Bureau. He also confirmed that the Chongqing Safety Supervision Bureau would actively support the safety supervision work in Liangjiang New Area from the aspects of coordination, guidance, assessment indicators, and staffing.
