The main building of Beibei Second Social Welfare Institute in Shuitu high-tech park has recently been completed, and it's planned for it to be put into use by the end of this year.

Upon completion, the project will accommodate more than 300 elderly people. Beibei Second Social Welfare Institute covers 25 mu (16.7 hectares) with a building area of 12,300 square meters. The green area is 5,919 square meters, with a greenery rate of 35.66 percent.

The Institute has 172 rooms and 344 beds, and is divided into a dormitory area, logistics area and an administrative office area. All three regions are connected with indoor corridors, which provide convenience for elderly people particularly with reference to exposure to the sun and rain.

Upon its completion, it will combine leisure, entertainment, medical treatment, nursing, and rehabilitation and become one of the best and largest social welfare institutes in Beibei district, as well as in Liangjiang New Area.
