To celebrate the 2014 China Chongqing–South Korea friendship week, a South Korean agricultural food exhibition was held in Chongqing from June 5 to June 7. It was hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (South Korea), South Korean Embassy and Consulates in China, and South Korea's aquatic food community.

At the exhibition, not only were a good many South Korean classic food dishes served for Chongqing citizens to taste freely, but also various and colorful South Korean traditional cultures and fashions were on display. Chongqing people could feel the charm of South Korean food and culture at the exhibition, which further deepened the bilateral exchanges between China and South Korea.

The exhibition was divided into a stage area and product experience area. Five zones including a popular food hall, a hot delicious food zone, a baby nutrition zone, a healthy living zone and a wine zone were set up in the experience area. The most fashionable South Korean food – such as grapefruit tea, biscuits, and coffee – were exhibited in the popular food hall. South Korea's milk powder, children's sausage and children's snacks were exhibited in the baby nutrition zone. Representative liquor products of South Korea such as ginseng wine and beer were exhibited in the wine zone.

Spicy cabbage, hot pepper sauce, and fried New Year cake were served in the hot delicious food zone; and Chongqing residents could tell the difference between the spicy food of China and South Korea.

In addition, the stage area was located in the middle of the five big exhibition zones. Large activities such as South Korean bibimbap, pickled cabbage, and traditional cake production program s took place in the stage arena.
