The bureau is responsible for maintaining and monitoring quality standards in the industrial development park in Liangjiang New Area (covering an area of 238 square kilometers) and in the free trade port zones.
It also has the authority to approve enterprises and projects under the jurisdiction of Liangjiang New Area, covering an area of 1200 square kilometers.
