The 6th Undergraduate's Integrated Circuit Design Competition and 2016 Integrated Circuit Entrepreneurship and Innovation Summit, hosted by the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education and organized by Beijing University of Technology and North China University of Technology, was held in Beijing’s E-Town Capital E-startups in Beijingon August 26.

More than 300 teams from six universities joined the competition. Their outstanding projects showed the high standard of Chinese integrated circuit education.

Zhou Yumei, deputy director of the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Microelectronics, and Ren Aiguang, director of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, gave speeches on improving mass entrepreneurship and innovation, promoting industrial structural adjustment, and creating an integrated computerized information services system.

Shi Zhendong, vice-general manager of E-Town Capital, gave a talk focused on thinking in the semiconductor industry and venture capital investment, the trends and opportunities in mass entrepreneurship and innovation of integrated circuits.
E-Town Capital will continuously establish investment and financial service platforms, together with innovation and intelligence industry cluster bases, by treating actual industry development demands as a guide and financial service innovation as a means. An IC-LINKED integrated circuit industrial service platform, under construction by innocenter, will be a public technology service and communication platform providing one-stop services.
