Sanmenxia authorities promote 3rd National Economic Census

Authorities in Sanmenxia are holding a month-long promotional activity for the third National Economic Census, and over 40 units took part in the opening ceremony on Dec 10.

An initiative of the city's economic census office, the activity aims to promote the objectives of the economic census and to explain the methods that will be used to carry it out - with about 30 publicity boards, 40 banners, 5,000 leaflets and 1,000 posters.

The census is expected to start on the last day of the year, and it will involve all of the legal entities, industrial units and self-employed people engaged in the secondary and tertiary industries in the territory of China.

It will focus on the organizational structure, employees, energy consumption and informatization of the units.

Pei Fuping, deputy director of the standing committee of Sanmenxia municipal people's congress; Wang Zhenqing, vice-mayor of Sanmenxia, and Sun Jiwei, vice-chairman of the city's committee of CPPCC, attended the ceremony.
