Several beneficial measures were taken in the Lijiang ancient city. Lion mountain park was opened to the local tourists for free on "China Tourism Day". Tourists from other places were given a 20 percent discount on May 19, 2012. Former residence of Fang Guoyu and the Xueshan academy were open to tourists for free. The public appreciated the interesting tours.

A series of services were offered to polish Lijiang ancient town's environment. The Lijiang ancient town protection administration regulated the operation of shops and enlarged the commodity varieties to meet the public's requirement.
