Liuzhou’s automobile industry booms

Figures show that in the past ten months, the output of Liuzhou’s automobile industry has reached 82.82 billion yuan, an increase of 9% more than the same period last year. The amount of cars made is 1.19 million and the amount of cars sold is 1.24 million, a steady rise of 0.6% and 2.1% year on year.
SATC-GM-Wiling Automobile Co Ltd (SGMV) has sold 1.06 million cars in the past ten months. This year the market share of small cars rose from 39.4% to 45% and ranks first, even with national sales plummeted this year.
Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co Ltd also has a rapid increase in its sales. In the past ten months, it has sold 116,220 cars with its sale revenues reaching 10.4 billion yuan. Its Multi-Purpose Vehicles (MPV) ranks first in terms of market occupancy and its MPV sales account for 20% of total national MPV sales. In October, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co Ltd has earned 960 million yuan by selling 8,818 commercial vehicles and 3,215 passenger vehicles.
The director of Liuzhou industry and information committee says, “boosted by the automobile industry, our total industrial output is expected to hit a record high and reach 320 billion yuan.”
