Established on July 28, 2006, the Zhongguancun Biomedical Contract Research Organization (CRO) Alliance set its headquarters in Beijing Zhongguancun Life Science Park.

Now it is composed of around 50 member enterprises, covering various links of the new drug R&D industry service chain, including biomedicine, chemicals and new botanical drugs. With a strong order-taking capability, these enterprises are able to provide high-quality and high-level biomedicine R&D outsourcing services for customers at home and abroad.

The Contract Research Organization has integrated superior advantages of the industry. It has set up a public platform connecting the international and domestic markets. In addition, it has attracted a number of excellent domestic and overseas experts and scholars to enhance the R&D competitiveness of the biomedicine industry. It is also engaged in the global outsourcing service market, looking for new growth points for drug R&D.

The alliance aims to promote the sound development of the Zhongguancun biomedicine R&D outsourcing industry and to strengthen its overall competitive power and indigenous innovation capacity.
