Xi'an Administrative Service Center to start operation

XI’AN: The Xi’an Administrative Service Center in the capital of Northwest China’s Shaanxi province will open on April 27, according to government sources.

Thanks to a new “one stop service” being introduced in the center, foreign-funded firms will go through registration procedures in the city in only one to three days.

Nineteen municipal departments, including the development and reform commission, construction commission, urban planning bureau and foreign trade and economic co-operation bureau, have set up counters in the center where they will examine and approve the establishment of firms, including foreign-owned ones.

Firms will go through registration procedures through the counters rather than visiting one committee or bureau after another.

Unlike former practices, the counters, each with a chief representative, will examine and approve projects involving another committee or bureau with the counter of another committee or bureau.

The center’s launch is aimed at creating a sound environment for the city’s economic and social development, said Huang Huiqiang, secretary-general of the Xi’an Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection.
