BOCOG president meets ITAR-TASS head

Liu told the guest that preparations for the 2008 Olympic Games are progressing smoothly on schedule. BOCOG attaches great importance to the media service and will provide quality services for the press covering the Olympics.
The Olympic Main Press Center (MPC) will have a floor area of 60,000 square meters, making it the largest MPC in the Olympic history. The Media Village and the hotel for the press are located near the MPC to facilitate news coverage. "We are seriously honoring the bid pledges and will extend quality and convenient services for the media to keep a good image for our country," he reiterated.
Ignatenko, who witnessed Beijing's achievements in preparing for the Olympics and the city's rapid development, said his news agency will do its best to support the Olympiad.
Present at the meeting was BOCOG Executive Vice President Jiang Xiaoyu.
