Gunners' Sanchez admits tax fraud

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez on Monday admitted defrauding Spanish tax authorities of $1 million while playing for Barcelona.

The Gunners' 28-year-old Chile international's confession could result in a fine and a non-custodial prison sentence.

Giving evidence via video link from London, Sanchez "recognized a tax error which he has settled with the Spanish Treasury," a judicial source said.

Sanchez admitted that his tax declarations for 2012 and 2013 had not included profits from his image rights, which transited through a company based in Malta.

Milan comeback boosts Europe bid

AC Milan battled back from a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 at Torino on Monday to move into fifth spot in the Serie A standings and boost its hopes of European qualification.

Andrea Belotti put Torino ahead after 21 minutes with his 14th league goal of the season and Marco Benassi added a second for the host five minutes later.

Milan's 17-year-old keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma saved Adem Ljajic's penalty to prevent the host going up 3-0 up after just 32 minutes.

Once the storm passed, Milan responded with Andrea Bertolacci scoring in the 55th minute and Carlos Bacca firing in a penalty five minutes later.

Milan has 37 points, eight points behind leader Juventus.

"I'm very happy with a move to Spartak," Adriano told the club's website.

"I will do my best to score as many goals as I can to help the club win the title."

Nine-time Russian champion Spartak tops the Premier League after 17 matches, five points ahead of Zenit St Petersburg.
