By employing a combination of drugs, electrical stimulation, and robot-assisted (shaped like a vest) rehabilitation (復(fù)健), US researchers have restored a remarkable degree of voluntary movement in rats paralyzed by a spinal cord (脊髓) injury, foreign media reported. After several weeks of treatment, the rodents (嚙齒動物) were able to walk. The rats' recovery raises hopes that a similar combination strategy could help restore movement in some people with spinal injuries. (See photo)
據(jù)外媒報道，美國科學(xué)家的一項研究表明，通過藥物治療、電擊，結(jié)合特制的機器馬甲康復(fù)訓(xùn)練，能夠使因脊髓損傷而癱瘓的小白鼠得到奇跡般的恢復(fù)，一定程度上重新獲得隨意移動的能力。經(jīng)過數(shù)周的治療，小白鼠們能夠再次行走。這一研究成果未來或可用在人類身上，采用類似的組合療法幫助脊髓損傷的人恢復(fù)行動能力。(見圖)
