The Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone in Toutunhe district arranged a training session on May 27, for enterprises enrolling in the First Urumqi Creation and Entrepreneurship Competition.

The zone, located in Urumqi in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, invited the overseer of the competition, Mei Ning, to give a detailed explanation of the competition’s registration process and requirements. Mei also answered questions from enterprise representatives.

Liu Sijing, a representative of Urumqi Jianxun Technology Company, commented on the training by saying that it helped improve confidence and achieve good results at the competition. Liu also said that his company will bring folk music software to the competition.

Luo Jianguang, head of Touhunhe district’s Science and Technology Bureau, said that the district will encourage enterprises to take part in the competition by setting up an innovation foundation and releasing preferential policies.

The application period will be open until June 10. All qualified small to medium sized enterprises, overseas returnees, undergraduates and social organizations are welcome to enroll in the competition. Winners will receive rewards of between 50,000 and 250,000 yuan.
