The Port Industry Zone set up park zones for heavy equipment manufacturing, clean energy equipment manufacturing, light industry and oil and food processing.
Initial planning area is 26 sq km.
The area of Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Park would be 12sq.km2. The priority is to develop heavy hoisting equipment, large port machinery, shield devices, marine engineering and vessel equipment.
Clean Energy Equipment Manufacturing Zone occupies 8 sq. km2. Development is positioned for clean energy equipment manufacturing such as offshore wind power, solar PV, LED and electric vehicles, as well as emerging equipment sectors such as control systems, transmission systems for precision processing, pneumatic system and other high value-added industries.
Light Industry and Oil & Food Processing Zone occupies 6 sq km at its early stage, which centralizes on edible and palm oil processing, refined sugar processing, feedstuff and flour processing, as well as a warehouse and logistics.
By 2011, the Tianjin Jinan Heavy Industry project is put into production, while New Building Materials Industry Base and Tianjin Fangtong Port Industry Base are under construction.
