Assembly workers on Sept 19 adjust a helicopter under construction in Binhai New Area in Tianjin. | The first helicopter made at the Tianjin base of China National Aviation Corp (CNAC) is almost completed, and a test flight will be scheduled after Oct.1.
It’s a light civilian helicopter and can be widely used in flight training, rescue, disaster relief and tourism.
The Tianjin base of CNAC, established last year, mainly focuses on light civilian helicopter production and will develop a complete industrial chain, including helicopter research and development, assembly and sales.
The base plans to build more than 300 helicopters of various types by 2017 and become another important aviation industry project in Binhai New Area in Tianjin. |
